Cross-country championship and all-conference results

Campbellsport's boys and Lomira's girls went into the Flyway cross-country championship at St. Lawrence Seminary as the favorites to come away with conference titles.


Both teams took care of business on Thursday afternoon.


The Cougars, which one with 31 points, dominated the boys race. The team had seven runners finish in the top 11, including the individual champion, Garrett Pickering.


Pickering earned the win with a 17:50.9 race.


After four runners from other Flyway schools, the rest of the Campbellsport team came in a flury, with six runners finishing consecutively.


Lomira had similar success in the girls race, with four Lions finishing in the top 10. The team won with 49 points. Whitney Witkowski was the top Lion finisher in second place.


North Fond du Lac/Oakfield runner Kelsey Forsythe was the individual conference champion, winning the race in 20:48.5.
