St. Mary’s Springs captain Ellie Judkins has been voted Flyway Player of the Year for her contributions to the Ledgers’ undefeated conference championship this spring.
Judkins led the Flyway with 23 assists and was tied for second in points with 47. She only trailed her junior teammate Anna Willis. Willis, who joined Judkins as a unanimous first-teamer, had 61 points and led the conference with 25 goals.
Mayville finished runners-up in the league. The Cardinals’ striker Ellie Wojahn and Lourdes Academy defender Charley Mullen were the only other players that were unanimous picks.
Wojahn scored 20 goals, which was tied for second in the conference with Jenna Krupp. Krupp, a senior for North Fond du Lac, was a second-team selection.
Springs’ Annie Barr was the pick for first-team goalkeeper. The senior had a stellar 0.27 goals against average against conference teams. Lucile Rathke was a first-team defender for the Ledgers.
NFDL also had junior attacker Audrina Welsch, who had 47 points, and defender Kelsey Forsythe on the first team.
Lourdes advanced the furthest in the postseason, for the Knights lost 6-0 in a sectional final to Kiel. Lourdes junior Delaney Reudinger was a first-team attacker after a 15-goal season.
