The WIAA released the brackets for the 2024 postseason on Thursday. Six Flyway teams will compete in Division 3 and two will play in D2.
Laconia earned a No. 1 seed in D3 sectional 2. The Spartans were ranked No. 6 in the latest D3 coaches poll. They will play in a split regional and would host through the regional final.
Omro is the No. 6 seed in the same regional as Laconia. The Foxes opening playoff game is Tuesday at third-seeded St. Mary Catholic.
Mayville is the lone Flyway team that is in D3 sectional 4, which is a difficult sectional on paper. The Cardinals earned the No. 4 seed and will host fifth-seeded Dominican to open play next Thursday.
If the Cardinals win, it will likely set up a match with top-seeded Lake Country Lutheran. LCL was No. 7 in this week's state rankings.
St. Mary's Springs, Winnebago Lutheran and Lomira will all compete in D3 sectional 3, which is the easiest sectional. None of the teams in sectional 3 are in the top-10 of the state rankings.
Springs, the No. 7 seed, will host 10th-seeded Lomira in an opening-round match on Tuesday with the winner to play second-seeded Oostburg. Springs has played Oostburg already this year at the Lake Country Lutheran tournament and lost in three sets.
WLA is the No. 8 seed and will host Mishicot on Tuesday. The winner will move on to play at top-seeded Valders.
Campbellsport and North Fond du Lac are both in D2 and will meet in the first round in sectional 3 on Tuesday. The Cougars are the No. 5 seed and the Orioles are No. 12.
The winner of the conference matchup will play at fourth-seeded Sheboygan Falls.
