Springs goes 2-1, finishes second at Kiel Invitational

St. Mary's Springs girls soccer earned a second-straight runner-up finish at the Kiel Invitational tournament.


The Ledgers lost 3-1 to Kiel, the No. 2 team in Division 4, in the championship match.


Molly Diedrich scored the lone goal in the championship. Annie Barr recorded six saves.


Springs beat New Holstein 7-0 to open the day and knocked off Martin Luther 3-2 in the semifinals.
