Springs up to No. 7 in WSCA poll

Despite a three-match losing streak, the St. Mary's Springs Ledgers rose up two spots in the week three Wisconsin Soccer Coaches Assocation poll to No. 7.

The Ledgers lost 3-1 to Brookfield Academy on Monday night. Last week the Blue Knights were ranked No. 3 in Division 4, but they slipped to No. 8 this week.

Springs has played a difficult nonconference schedule so far and are 2-3. Their other losses are to D4 No. 1-ranked Cedar Grove-Belgium and D1 Fond du Lac.

Oostburg was ranked No. 10 in D4 when the Ledgers beat them 2-0 at home.

Junior forward Anna Willis has scored five goals this season, teammate Ellie Judkins has assisted each of them. Judkins scored the only goal that Willis hasn't.
