The Flyway had representatives in six finals events and six preliminary events on Friday at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
Campbellsport's Josh Onwunili was one of the headliners during the entire postseason run and he won the prelims in both the 100- and 200-meter dashes. He ran a 21.64-second 200-meter dash and a 10.78 in the 100.
St. Mary's Springs sprinter Grace Coon will race again Saturday in the 100 and as the anchor of the 4x200 relay team, which finished third on Friday.
Coon did not qualify in the open 200.
Winnebago Lutheran Academy sophomore Cole Keifenheim and Springs senior Brendan Gaertig each secured podium finishes in the pole vault. Gaertig finished sixth in Division 3 with a height of 13-feet, 6-inches and Keifenheim was fourth with a vault of 14-feet.
Campbellsport had more success in the hurdles once again, for Evan Wilcox qualified for the finals in both the 110- and 300-hurdles and Lydia Toshner qualified in the 300-hurdles.
Sophie Norton from Springs was disqualified for a false start in the 300-hurdles. Omro's Mason Huth failed to qualify for the 110-hurdles finals.
WLA's Kaiden Schmitz finished 10th in the discus and Springs' Lexi Coon finished 14th in the long jump.
Laconia had Molly Duel in the 1600 and 800. She finished 15th and 16th, respectively.
Campbellsport's 4x800 relay finished 16th and Springs' 4x100 relay failed to qualify for the finals.
