Josh Steger added to his already impressive collection of awards Tuesday afternoon when the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association released its all-state teams.
The Lomira senior was the only Flyway player selected to all state, he was an honorable-mention pitcher thanks to his 8-1 record and 0.92 ERA.
In addition to all state, Steger was the Division 3 Metro Player of the Year and a first team all-Metro selection. The Metro District includes the East Central, Greater Metro, Metro Classic, Milwaukee City, North Shore and Flyway conferences.
Five more Flyway players were honorable mention all-Metro selections: Tyler Sachen and Kyler Bowe from Campbellsport as well as Easton Zangl, Brady Mann and Connor Steers from Lomira.
All six of the all-Metro selections were first team all-Flyway picks.
Steers also made the academic all-Metro team alongside teammate Weston Poth and Omro's Jonah Brey.
